Well currently, in the Hanged Man. I am sipping a really horrible ale and thinking wistfully of the old days.

I ... lost my temper and if not for the intervention of a man-servant, would have walked into the house of Lady Vauquelin and slapped her.

She's a spoiled, empty-headed child, Bethany, pretending to be an adult and being indulged by those who have decided she's pretty and useful enough they'll pretend along with her. Her moods are mercurial and probably a mystery even to her. Don't waste your time with stupidity, because it's just that - a waste of time.

Oh, it's not just her. It's a lot of things - but mostly it is that all my leads for Marian lead back to where we found that idol ... and I haven't heard from Aleron for a few weeks. It's not unusual, when he's on Seeker business, but still. I am worried. So my worry is eating at my calm, I suppose.

I understand. I... I loved your sister. If she's alive she should know that there are people who still care about her and who miss her, and if she's gone she deserves to be remembered rather than be a vague question mark in everyone's minds.
