Nathaniel smiles into the next kiss. Mmm, a lazy post-coital makeout does sound nice, though it can't last too long. Ten seconds. Ten seconds of snogging, then they can remember they have responsibilities.
Once those ten seconds have turned into fifteen, then twenty, Nathaniel breaks away. "We should get back to camp," he murmurs against Anders' lips.
He sighs, but Nate's right and Justice is backing him up. Anders is outvoted. After one more stolen kiss, Anders de-burritos and grabs his robes, tugging them on hurriedly.
"Can we get rid of the cots? There's no comfortable way to share them, and the ground isn't soft but we could work on making something not entirely uncomfortable."
"A bed?" He blinks at Nate. "A real bed? Or do you mean more blanket materials for the ground?" There might be a little more hope in his voice than he wants.
His robes finally in place, Anders wraps himself back in the cloak and tries not to shiver too much as he gives Nate a small smile. "That might be too comfortable. I might have to stick rocks in it to get any sort of sleep at all."
"I'm not sure I've learned that word, rested. I don't suppose you could translate it into Anders for me?" Nate gets a peck on the cheek before Anders tentatively reaches for his hand.
Nathaniel threads his fingers with Anders', and he smiles slowly as he realizes this is how they will walk back into camp. As a couple. That makes him incredibly happy. In fact, his smile becomes a grin--on an understated man like him, a sign of utter ecstasy.
"I'm afraid I can't, but you'll know it when you feel it."
The hand-holding and grin make him feel like a giddy teenager all over again and his smile grows.
"I look forward to it, mein Bärchen. And now I suppose we should behave and return to camp, like you said." Before someone reports Anders as missing and there's a mass of over-excited Templars hunting for him.
