Fade Rift CR Chart

Adelaide LeBlanc

Warm. Intelligent. Compassionate. The third isn't much of a surprise due to her spirit of choice, but she embodies the emotion. She's attractive and helpful, and makes Anders feel like a person again. He knows spending too much time with her or getting too close could be dangerous to the both of them, but he doesn't know how much of that thought is his, and how much is Justice's. Threads: 1, 2
Alayre Sauveterre

Confusing. Promising. Straightforward. The last thing Anders expected to find when in the Hinterlands was a former Knight-Commander who believes mages should have freedom. He's still wary, and knows that if his secret is discovered Alayre would likely kill him without hesitation, but he's also coming to believe Alayre would do the same to any Templar attacking an innocent mage. Alayre is a large part of the reason Anders is willing to give the Inquisition a shot - if a Templar can be all right with mages, maybe the world one day can as well. Threads: 1, 2
Bruce Banner

Diplomatic. Neutral. Helpful. In the wake of the abomination attack, Bruce could easily have been resentful of how much more work there is and the fact that he now has to console so many more worried patients. He doesn't seem to be. Instead, he works steadily and he's friendly. There's something of the Fade to him, though, which has Justice a little on edge and Anders curious. Threads: 1
Cole

Kind. Scared. Confusing. For the first time since he and Justice realized their merge was causing problems, Anders has a small amount of hope that it can be fixed. He also feels like he has someone who understands his situation a little, and that's priceless. Even Justice feels like this is someone who might understand and help. Threads: 1
Jamie McCrimmon

Open. Young. Friendly. Jamie is still figuring out hiw place in this world with the shard in his hand, and it shows. It's not a bad thing, but Anders wonders how safe the guy will really be if anyone decides the Rifers are a threat. Threads: 1
Kallian Endris

Young. Scared. Alone. Kallian is a physical reminder that Anders hasn't hurt everyone he's come across, that he's done some good, too. It grounds him, and pushes him to want to be better. She also is a reminder of what mages still face, for all of the surface tolerance they receive in Skyhold. He feels protective toward her, which is new to him. Justice doesn't feel the same - she's taking some of Anders' focus away and not taking the risks other mages are for freedom. Threads: 1
Kitty Jones

Friendly. Curious. Cautious. She's got a secret, but Anders can't judge seeing as he has one too. She looked out for a stranger on first meeting, and that says something in her favor. Threads: 1
Merrill

Aggravating. Confusing. Blood Mage. There is no one more confusing than Merrill, in Anders' opinion. She's naive and kind and consorts cheerfully with demons, paying no heed to the fact that now Marethari is dead thanks to what she's done. Despite how dangerous she is, it can still be argued that she's kinder than she is cruel, and it messes with every single bit of his opinions when it comes to blood magic. Threads: 1
Mia Rutherford

Pleasant. Direct. Playful. Anders can't get a full read on Mia, but she's friendly, and friendly toward mages, and that counts for a lot. She easily dealt with the bait of him pointing out that she's keeping company with a mage, and turned the conversation onward - not the most common reaction - and maybe, for now, he's found someone to play a game or two of chess with. Threads: 1
Michel de Chevin

Stupid. Stubborn. Frustrating. Michel seems convinced that everyone suffers equally, that there aren't groups who suffer more, and that to address one wrong someone has to address all. Not only that, he seems to believe that if you're to argue about something, there must be no exceptions. Both Anders and Justice find this blind and exhausting. Threads: 1
Pel Ashara

Abrupt. Cautious. Aloof. Seems to have some idea of where the Council should head, but speaks of mages needing to be perfect - something Anders can't really agree with, but Justice believes makes sense. Threads: 1
Simon Tam

Busy. Studious. Awkward. Their first meeting was an odd one, but it wasn't bad. Threads: 1
Twisted Fate

Informative. Secretive. Selfish. Easy enough to talk to, Fate doesn't hide that his interests are far more personal than the plight of all mages. In another lifetime, Anders could agree with this, but no longer. Threads: 1
Varric Tethras

Resourceful. Compassionate. Intelligent. After Kirkwall and Varric's admission of tiredness at the Gallows, Anders figured he'd hurt the Dwarf beyond all repair. To his surprise, Varric's already helping him strengthen his false identity and looking out for him, and Anders is more in debt to the Dwarf than he knows how to ever repay. Threads: 1
Zevran Arainai

Welcoming. Unexpected. Helpful. Anders went in hoping for a lesson, and also got treated like he's a person and desirable, even after what he's done. Zevran's helped ease an ache Anders was deliberately ignoring, and Anders is beyond grateful. Justice is more wary, but so far the Elf has only helped and not distracted. Threads: 1
