CASTMATES

Isabela
{DRAGON AGE 2}
likesbigboats

Not just Anders' main connection from home, Isabela helps to balance Anders and his haste. She's a lot more cool-headed than him, and Anders respects her. Anders is selfishly glad that she's here, and feels oddly not alone with her around. After rescuing her from Dismas and getting a house with her, Anders feels more loyal to her than he did back in Kirkwall. She's irreplaceable now.

Orsino
{DRAGON AGE 2}
encircled

Orsino is a fool, in Anders' eyes. Unable to do anything for the mages, he gave away their rights one by one, and now condemns Anders for acting when inaction was costing lives by the day. Anders can't figure out how Orsino refuses to see that the mages were already dead, and keeps getting into arguments with him. They have a tentative truce for the sake of giving new lives a chance, but time will tell how well that holds. Apparently Orsino has a soft spot for mage children that aren't of Thedas and insane Elves.

ANATOLIANS

Scout
{STAR WARS}
burnsbright

Quirky and unique, Anders finds Scout interesting. She doesn't have magic and won't talk directly about rights, but she travels through space and has an excellent sense of humor. He met her when he first arrived and they've talked fairly regularly since. He has called her a friend. She does pick up on innuendo after he deals enough out, something he intends to keep in mind.

Usopp
{ONE PIECE}
sniperking

Enthusiastic and easy to like. Usopp is intelligent and silly and Anders finds him fairly easy to talk to. They have commonality in traveling with a group of friends. They've recently spoken about fireworks, and Anders perhaps learning more about them in the future. Should more come from Anders' world (and from the party) he rather wants Usopp to meet them. After Anders' memory of Karl was displayed to Anatole, Usopp sat him down with fireworks, stories, and just plain company, something that Anders is very grateful for.

Severus Snape
{HARRY POTTER}
brewglory

Despicable. Disgusting. Rude, arrogant, judgmental, a fool. Anders may not hate Snape quite as much as he hates Fenris, but it's pretty darn close. Especially because Snape doesn't have as good an excuse as Fenris does. He doesn't trust Snape as far as he could blow up the Mist. The first truce they had failed when Snape not only admitted and then denied lying by omission, but told Isabela he doubted that Anders ever had to escape or struggle with anything, that Snape thought Anders made it all up. The second truce is rocky at best, with Anders figuring it's only a matter of time before Snape pulls something new. Now there are potion lessons going on. Time will tell if something blows up.

Yuui Flourite
{TSUBASA RESERVOIR CHRONICLE}
feyecandy

Anders is not always sure what he thinks of Fai/Yuui, but for the most part it's positive. They've spoken most importantly on staying in control, and watching out for the Mist. He's healed Fai as well, from sunburns. Things are currently a little stilted after Anders' attempt to help Yuui's twin went poorly, but they should be fine.

Priscilla
{CLAYMORE}
priscilla

Entirely unimpressive. She's at least helpful toward newcomers, but her actions and attitudes remind Anders a little too much of Meredith, especially when she's the head of the police organization but is attempting to go vigilante and bait in a killer.

Arthur Pendragon
{MERLIN}
king

Arthur is someone Anders just isn't sure of. On one hand, he used to be terrified of magic and he's grown, attested to by a mage from his world. On the other, he's killed whole groups of mages and then even here struck down Lupin. Arthur is the first one to speak with Justice, and the second as well, but it's gone no farther than talking as Arthur is turning himself over to the Anatolian justice system for his actions against Lupin. After a talk on believing people to be equal, Arthur's invited Anders over for dinner with him, Gwen, and Merlin.

Neirenn
{INVERLOCH}
shinndocuirenn

Resistant to teasing but with a good sense of humor, Anders likes talking with Neirenn. Her portal spells are of particular interest. She's clearly intelligent, with her scientific research into the Mist, and also far more independent than any mage her age Anders has ever met. He's fond of her, if a little awkward because she's on the younger side.

Remus Lupin
{HARRY POTTER}
lumenrelagandus

Not only does Lupin run the clinic in Anatole, he has another within him that he doesn't always have full control of. Anders feels some kinship with the older mage, and attended his wedding. He's amiable and someone Anders looks up to, and he waits and hopes for Lupin's return.

Martha Jones
{DR. WHO}
toldastory

Cheerful, friendly, intelligent, flirty. Anders likes talking with her, and he's finally got a little respect for medical doctors now. At least, ones who don't use leeches. She's far more level-headed than Snape, though Anders can't figure out for the life of him what she sees in Snape. Their conversations are easy, and he enjoys when they get to talk.

Brienne of Tarth
{Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire}
upheld

In their first conversation, Anders wasn't sure if she was really a person or a chair, because she was invisible. Subsequent conversations have been pleasant, and he rather likes her. She's tough but friendly, and reminds him a bit of Aveline from home. After seeing her memory of being taunted Anders feels a bit more for her.

Kotetsu T. Kaburagi
{TIGER AND BUNNY}
wildhonor

Theirs is an iffy relationship. For the most part their conversations have been casual and friendly, but upon Fai's arrival they clashed quite a bit, simply because their approaches to the situation were different.

Lily Potter
{HARRY POTTER}
bravedoe

She seems friendly and like she tries to smooth things over. Anders is teaching her defensive spells, and she's set to teach him a few from her world as well. They've spoken on freedom too, and he generally keeps an eye out for her.

Merlin
{MERLIN}
servant

For the most part, Anders likes Merlin. He thinks the younger mage may be a bit too passive on the topic of rights as he's completely fine with Arthur and his past. Due to talk of destiny, he thinks that Merlin's also rather into Arthur, so he can't fault Merlin too much for forgiving Arthur.

Hermione Granger
{HARRY POTTER}
bibliophile annex

Young but very knowledgeable. Determined to see people be equal and free, something Anders rather likes. She loaned him some books on herblore and potions in her world and so he's learned quite a bit, something he's appreciative of. They've also talked about the Heir of Slytherin, with a fair bit of teasing tossed in.

Isabelle Lightwood
{THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS}
nolessthanseven

It only took one meeting for Anders and Isabelle to plot out a whole fake festival. He has fun with her and likes her attitude. She's friendly and silly and he thinks there might be a reason her name's so close to Isabela's. After seeing Karl's passing, she spoke a few words in Latin, a semi-prayer, that came at just the right time for Anders.

Michael
{ANGEL SANCTUARY}
reddenedrage

Michael made a rather powerful impression on Anders by offering to fight at his side if ever he was needed. There's nothing a mage can use more than a warrior who will stand up for him, after all, and Anders was touched by the offer. Even if he doesn't understand Michael's love of 'good fights.'

Mordred
{MERLIN}
adhmharaighe

The kid Anders never knew he wanted to care for, Mordred showed up on the network, collared by a device that nullified magic, and Anders of course helped out. In the process, he made a tiny friend that he doesn't know what to think about. Mordred is intelligent and observant, and could feen Justice after the collar was removed, but he's still a kid and Anders is bad with kids. He likes Mordred, though, and despite how he has no idea what he's doing Anders keeps an eye on the boy when he has opportunity. He's been even more in Mordred's life of late, finding him in the Mist, promising his best to stay, and talking about dragons and fire.

Daenerys Targaryen
{A GAME OF THRONES/A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE}
moonofhislife

While their first conversation went rather poorly (Anders was a jerk on the topic of calling someone a title of respect if he might not respect them,) after he was injured she showed concern. Anders isn't exactly used to someone doing that, and he thinks he might have been too hasty to judge Daenerys.

Nymphadora Tonks
{HARRY POTTER}
wotcher

She seemed nice enough, someone Lupin cared about, and then a Broadcast Mind revealed her prankster side, and suddenly Anders was interested in getting to know her better. After her death at the hand of Bellatrix and subsequent return to life, Anders found her in the Ruins and brought her back to the clinic, sitting a silent vigil for several hours.

Agni
{KUROSHITSUJI}
kali curryer

Wise and sympathetic, Agni not only figured out that the Mist was behind so many people feeling particularly jealous/envious, he also talked about how fathers who weren't good fathers didn't deserve a day of celebration. For hat day he made Anders a special hat and Anders has rarely been more touched. Agni lost his friends from his world, and Anders has offered condolences, hoping that somehow they help.

Rika Furude
{HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI}
repeatingfate

While their first conversation began with an argument, it evolved into something that was far more talking and understanding, and got Anders his second-ever nickname, Mister Hope, while she's Miss Belief. He doesn't think his nickname fits, but it touches something deeply buried when she calls him that, and for that reason he appreciates the nickname. Now they're talking on healing and magic and obviously it's a topic he enjoys talking about. Anders finds himself very much enjoying talking with her. She backed him up upon seeing his memory, and on seeing hers he tried to encourage her back.

Lelouch vi Britannia
{GODE GEASS: LELOUCH OF THE REBELLION}
strategizing

His pointed questions and search for how others defined justice drew Anders out, and they had a good conversation on when someone should pay for a kill, and when they should not, and other ethical questions related to death. After Anders was attacked Lelouch was digging for more details on the attack, which only made sense. Anders is somewhat interested in Lelouch, as the conversations were good, but doesn't feel particularly friendly or non-friendly to the other man.

Susumu Yamazaki
{PEACEMAKER KUROGANE}
notpissedoff

Susumu is the ultimate straight man, and thus Anders is looking for chances to try to crack the stern face. He's not entirely certain Susumu smiles, even. He teased during their first conversation, and then when they met tried to stick a rainbow beanie cap on Susumu's head. It's no so much that he wants Susumu to smile as he wants to think there can't be a life so much worse than Anders' own that leaves someone completely unable to smile, and so Susumu is set up to be a target when Anders finds opportunity.

Isley
{CLAYMORE}
silverking

Anders doesn't think he has Isley figured out yet. The Order of Erebos sounds like an excellent idea, and their conversations have gone remarkably well, even when Anders didn't like the pin design, but it always feels like there might be something more behind Isley's words, especially when Isley smirks. Anders enjoys talking with Isley, though, and he's not put off by the other man. He simply feels that there's more to Isley than meets the eye, even if he can't put a finger on the reason why. Isley is now Anders' second boss as he's joined the Order of Erebos. It's... not quite a cause, but it does make Justice a little less restless.

Buffy Summers
{BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER}
slays

She's a little on the scatterbrained side when she talks, and that reminds him a little bit of Merrill, and that's sort-of a good thing. She also seems to have her heart in the right place, for all that they disagree on justice. Buffy's also a rare find in that she doesn't mind the flirting but she misses innuendo unless he's obvious and that's rather fun. Anders is apparently now her healer-on-call after a friend of hers (Wesley) showed up injured. Basically, he likes her and likes chatting with her, especially after she kept him company the night all of Anatole got to see Karl's end.

Yuri "Lunatic" Petrov
{TIGER AND BUNNY}
thanatostouched

Anders freaking hates this guy. Completely and totally. Not only can Lunatic not seem to figure out the real meaning of justice, Lunatic set Anders on fire. Anders would very much like to bring Lunatic down but due to having to stay in constant control of Justice he's not pursuing it. He can't afford to. Too much focus on this being a cause and Justice will emerge, and Anders doesn't want that. So he instead takes every opportunity to insult and bait Lunatic because that's oh so very intelligent.

Moving up: (+August interaction stuff)

Thomas Raith - Dresden Files - Another hot and flirty new arrival. Anders wants to talk more. Or not talk.

Pepper Pots - Marvel - Interesting, spunky, close to Tony. Convo was short, though.

Warrior of Light - Short conversation on magic and grey foods, friendly.

Arya Stark - Game of Burning and Freezing Chairs - Very smart for someone so young, and another surprising encounter with a kid. Anders kinda likes her, especially her fire, and her cat.

The Disreputable Dog - The Old Kingdom - One conversation that lead into a meeting later and Anders is completely unsure of what the dog is, exactly, but he knows there's magic involved, and she's interesting.

Maes Hughes - Fullmetal Alchemist - A father who loves and treasures his child no matter what. An interesting conversation for Anders.

Ginko - Mushishi - A casual if odd conversation on hair color, friendly enough.
